Are you visiting Lewis and Harris this summer?

Are you visiting the Outer Hebrides in 2025?

I thought I would share with you some of my favourite things to do and places to see on Lewis and Harris

Hushinish & Traigh Mheilein

This is one of my favourite days out. Huishinish is on the West Coast of Harris and it is a gorgeous beach. There is quite often Highland cows here.

From Huishinish you can walk across to Traigh Mheilein. This is my favourite beach on the island. It feels sort of magical.

We followed the Walk Highland route for this walk. They have lots of helpful routes so I would definitely recommend having a look.

Saltbox Sauna

Getting in the sea is always easier when you have a toasty sauna to jump into afterwards. Saltbox sauna have two saunas that travel around the Outer Hebrides stopping at the most gorgeous beaches.

Ceapabhal

Ceapabhal is a hill in Northton on the Isle of Harris. The view from the top is the best I have found on the island so far.

This is another walk that I have used Walk Highland for. Their route was super helpful!

Gearrannan Blackhouse Village

A little look at how a traditional crofting village would look. This village was occupied until the 1970’s and have been beautifully preserved.

A must visit while on the Isle of Lewis is us!

My little studio is in the town of Stornoway on Kenneth Street (which is a little tucked out of the way).

We are really excited for the summer season because it means chatting to lots of you about your travels round the Outer Hebrides.

If you would like to see a specific piece of jewellery or visit outwith our regular opening hours then make sure to get in touch with the team.

I make sure to share about living in the Outer Hebrides and my life out of the studio on my personal Instagram page (@alicee_catherine).
