About Alice Catherine Jewellery

Hello, I'm Alice, the founder and designer behind Alice Catherine Jewellery.

I started making jewellery in 2021 after buying a beginner's jewellery-making kit. What began as a hobby quickly turned into something much bigger, and I eventually left my job in marketing to pursue jewellery making full-time.

I went on to complete a Diploma in Silver Jewellery with Jewellers Academy and opened my first shop in Stornoway in 2022.

Fast forward to 2026, and we've just moved into a more central shop at 19 North Beach, Stornoway. The business has grown quite a bit since those early days, and I now work alongside a brilliant team who help with everything from making jewellery to running the shop and looking after our customers.

The Jewellery

I design jewellery from my home on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, where the coastline has a big influence on my work.

I'm particularly interested in texture and gemstones that remind me of the ocean. I like creating pieces that are a little different, without being overly complicated.

Although the business has grown, I'm still very involved in designing and developing our jewellery, which is the part of the job I enjoy most.

Visit Us

In 2026, we moved into our new shop at 19 North Beach in Stornoway.

It's a space where you can browse our collections, try on pieces and chat to the team. We also have a workshop at the back of the shop where some of our jewellery is made.
