Meet the Team - Gillian

Remote Bench Jeweller at Alice Catherine Jewellery

Gillian has recently joined our little team as a Bench Jeweller based in our Stornoway Studio.

Picking up jewellery making as a hobby when she was a teenager, Gillian has lots of experience! Originally from Hamilton she moved to Lewis in 1998 and completed an HNC in Jewellery at the University of the Highlands & Islands in 2017. She used to live in Uig, which she thinks is the most beautiful place on earth, but now lives in Stornoway which her daughters prefer.

As well as working for us, Gillian has her own jewellery business, Wild Shores, which also takes inspiration from her life on the Isle of Lewis. Gillian plays keyboard and trombone, I’m thinking maybe we should get her to play for us in the Studio!
